I don’t agree that people are/should be the priority while animals and the environment are not. Like as far as charitable aims, business moves, and such. Understand that without helping keep our natural environment stable, animals alike, we won’t have shit. There would be no point if our environment and species of our animals begin to collapse.
This occurred to me when I noticed more and more people thought it would be cool if Whataburger delivered. Simple right? Wrong.
Think about it. What if every Whataburger in the nation delivered? With other competing businesses to follow.
Now think about how big of a toll that would take environmentally.
Some would beg to differ with the argument that “it would be good for the economy.” Let me reiterate, there will be no economy or anything for that matter if we do not restrain from putting the environment at a higher risk than it already is.
And with another argument that might say “it would reduce drunk driving.” (I’m assuming this is because Whataburger amongst other fast food joints a preferred by people who are drunk and hungry.) Drunk driving is point-blank against the law so it shouldn’t even occur to begin with. Who the fuck really thinks that would even make a valid argument if this were to actually become a debate some day?
I know this is about an idea but there have been ideas in our past that have sprouted into something huge. But now all I can hope is that ideas being put on the table no matter how big or small at least take into account the impact it can really have and that without protecting our planet and the animals in our environment, there wouldn’t be anything for the ideas to grow on.
